Fingers has been a tremendous servant to the O'Brien family and he got back on the winning trail when landing the Seamus Mulvaney Crockafotha Handicap Hurdle under Luke McNiff.
The chestnut won by a convincing four and a half lengths and for his talented seven pound claiming pilot this success was coming hot on the heels of his win on Angels' Share at Wexford last night.
O'Brien said: "That's four out of five for him now. He'll go for the Galway Hurdle next and this was his prep for it. He is entitled to his shot after that."
This race however was very dramatic from the point of view of favourite, Warcraft (7/1 into 100/30). Adrian Heskin was leading this fellow to post as his saddle had slipped when the rest of the field was dispatched.
After a lengthy steward's enquiry Warcraft was deemed to be a withdrawn horse under Rule 1947F. There was a 20 cent Rule 4 on winnings.
