Stuart Crawford is looking forward to seeing Fine Rightly back over fences at Navan today when he tackles the Grade C Foxrock Handicap Chase.
The Alflora gelding enjoyed a fine novice chase campaign last year which culminated in a Grade Three success at Naas in March.
The seven-year-old failed to settle on his return to action over hurdles last month but Crawford is confident that his charge will be a different proposition returning to the larger obstacles again.
"He'll probably go on Sunday. That's the plan," said Crawford.
"Obviously he ran there three weeks ago but he was very keen and didn't give himself much of a chance stepping up to three miles for the first time.
"He should be a different horse back over two and a half miles and back over fences.
"He didn't run a bad race but was just very keen and got tired.
"We had been thinking about going for the Paddy Power with him but at this stage I don't think he needs to go three miles even though his pedigree is all three miles plus.
"He had enough speed to be able to travel and win bumpers at a decent level. I think we'll stick to two and a half for the time being, but he could go further in the future.
"His form is rock solid. When he met Sizing Granite it was probably slow enough for him but it was quick enough for our horse who wants proper winter ground.
"I hope there is a decent race in him. The natural option would be the race at Leopardstown in January (€100,000 chase).
"We'll run this weekend and see how we get on. If he won on Sunday he might be near top-weight for that race."
