Leading owner JP McManus will run either two or three horses in Fairyhouse's SBK Dan & Joan Moore Memorial Chase this Saturday, with 16 horses in total entered for the Grade 3 contest.

Previously successful in the 2m1f contest with Nearly Nama'd in the 2016 renewal, McManus' 151-rated Saint Roi is rated 2lb below top weight Dancing On My Own and is joined by the owner's Fighting Fit, under 11st 3lb, and bottom weight Roseys Hollow, with 9st12lbs.

McManus' racing manager Frank Berry reports “Fighting Fit and Roseys Hollow will run and I’m not so sure about Saint Roi. He’s well but I haven’t spoken to Willie yet, so we’ll see want he wants to do.

“Fighting Fit (for trainer Philip Dempsey) has had a good season and ran well over the course and distance (in December) the last day. He ran a cracker and is in good form.

“We just need some of the top ones to stay in which would leave him on a nice weight.”

The Pat Foley-trained Rebel Gold, winner of the 2023 renewal, is joined in the entries by a trio, each, of Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott-trained horses for the €100,000 race.
