Rory Cleary have Not A Bad Oul Day a good front-running ride to claim the concluding mile handicap at Gowran this afternoon.
The John Feane-trained gelding bounced out in front and responded well when asked for his effort down the straight. Mountain Fox tried to give chase but could only get within a length-and-a-half of the 6/1 winner. The front pair pulled 11 lengths clear of the third placed horse, Path Of Silver
"He did everything right and there was eleven lengths back to the third. We will see what the handicapper does,” said Feane.
“Rory gave him a lovely ride. He also gave the filly (Midnightmudcrabs) a lovely ride earlier, she was second in the big handicap.
“It's nice to get a winner anyway, we've had a lot of placed horses lately."
