Favourite Backers Finally Off The Mark Punters would hardly have expected to be kept waiting until the third race for a winning favourite but that was the case as Otay Kawn justified odds of 4/11 under Ruby Walsh. For a while My Fella looked like he was going to cause an upset and Mary's Little Vic, a 33/1 chance, came home well for second, but in truth Otay Kawn always just about looked in pole position. Winning trainer, Willie Mullins said: "The horse did what he was supposed to do. We were very worried about the ground. We'll keep him to two miles rather that two and a half and we'll look for a nice winners of one or novice race for him. He probably won't go to Cheltenham and is more likely a Fairyhouse prospect. "I feel Layde Back in the previous race may have pulled a muscle as I didn't like his action going by with a circuit to run." (EM)
