The Johnny Murtagh trained Fix It landed a gamble (11/2 to 3/1f) to score a third winner for the trainer's daughter Caroline Murtagh in the Now Is A Good Time Handicap at Down Royal today.
Jockey Murtagh kept the son of Excellent Art going in the closing stages and in the end the pair were all out for a head win over the fast finishing Right First
Afterwards Murtagh senior stated “he's only small but is thriving! All his winning has been in Dundalk, and I'd say he loves good fast ground.
“Fix It is great to have for Caroline to start off and she rides him out every day. I always said you need 20 rides to know what's going on and Caroline's starting to get the hang of things and get some good rides now.”
