Falcon Island took the final race on today's card, The Maurice Walsh Flat Race by an impressive 15 lengths under Andrew Duff for trainer Gordon Elliott.
Duff raced the Turtle Island gelding in behind the leaders, made smooth headway into 2nd entering straight, led under 2f out and stayed on well to win comfortably.
Successful onwer Dill Thompson who used also own Spirit Leader said afterwards, "Gordon bought this horse for me at the Derby Sale last year for 50,000."
