Trainer Mark Fahey is aiming to add to Flicker Of Hope’s impressive recent haul at the Dublin Racing Festival on Saturday, where his stable star contests the Listed €100,000 Race And Stay At Leopardstown Handicap Hurdle.

The French-bred six-year-old has won four of his five handicap hurdle starts already this season, including a nose success in a €100,000 hurdle at Navan in early December.

Fahey says "Flicker Of Hope definitely runs if he stays in one piece between now and then. He's up to 129 and he has 10st6lb at the minute, and it depends what Gordon (Elliott, trainer) is going to do with the top weights. We are looking forward to getting him out.

"He has stayed progressing and he has gone into a big, strong horse from a shell when we started him off.

"He has earned his shot and won a 100 thousand handicap the last day (in Navan) and we are giving him another crack at it. When we go over fences, he will be better again."
