Both successful in their own right earlier on the card, Ado McGuinness and Adam Caffrey teamed up with Exquisite Acclaim to win the featured SIS, Supporting Irish Racing Handicap at Dundalk.

Sent off 20/1 for this ultra competitive handicap, the six-year-old led early before being reined back to sit second behind the keen going Glen Princess

Coming through to regain the lead over a furlong from the finish, Caffrey had to be at his strongest on the gelding to hold the late run of last years winner Final Voyage

The successful jockey also rode out his claim with this latest win.

Ado McGuinness said: "He's (Caffrey) going to have to improve 3lb next week!

"Fair play to him and I'm delighted for him. He has worked hard and he rides this track very well. He is a very good kid.

"He had no pony racing experience before he came into my place. I think it is just over three years since he started to ride and he has passed out a lot of guys on the way.

"He works very hard, he works for me full-time at home. In all fairness to the young fella, he deserves everything he has got. You don't do that by not working and he has worked very, very hard.

"He rides every track really well and he does his homework. I think he will hold his own as a pro. He will have all the support of mine and my owners.

"The only thing is, I need a new apprentice now!

"It was a little bit unexpected, I thought the other horse (Migdam) would have run well. This horse (Exquisite Acclaim) loves this place down here."
