Solage (14/1) took the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Bluebell Stakes for Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning as she led inside the final furlong to defeat the game front-running Warnaq (7/1) by three quarters of a length. Camphor (5/1) was close-up in third, just a further head away while the 11/4 favourite Simply Beautiful didn’t feature back in eighth place.

The winning daughter of Galileo had one run in France last year before being acquired for 1,000,000 Euros by Ballylinch Stud and being sent to her present handler, for whom she won first time out this season at Gowran in April

Having been off for over four months, she ran fairly well in Group 3 contests at the Curragh and Gowran before showing improved form to win here.

“She had a setback in the spring and did well to get back, said winning trainer Jim Bolger.

"She’s tough and likes it deep.

“It’s not been discussed yet whether she will stay in training but she could be a Leger type for next year.”
