Exemplar has his sights lowered for the Listed Lenebane Stakes at Roscommon on Monday evening after a couple of efforts in Group Two company.
Aidan O'Brien 's charge landed his maiden at Galway in September and has since run third in the Beresford Stakes at the Curragh and eighth in York's Dante.
He was beaten a length and a half by Capri in the Beresford, which looks very solid form after Capri won the Irish Derby.
The 110-rated colt is best in at the weights for this extended one-mile-three-furlong contest and should take plenty of beating. Dawn Hoofer made a pleasing debut when runner-up to an odds-on favourite at Naas last month, so has every chance in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.
The winner of that race, Butterscotch, went on to be placed in a Group Three at the Curragh. Initially s consistency could reap dividends in the Property Partners Earley Auctioneers Fillies Handicap. Pat Smullen gets the leg up for the first time.
The Roscommon Herald Handicap sees Hyperdrive and Auckland clash again after the former beat the latter at Leopardstown last month. Auckland has since delivered in Foxrock and might turn the tables on his rival this time. Tom Dooley should be finishing better than most in the Supervalu's Roscommon Apprentice Handicap and appeals down near the bottom of the weights.
Sea The Stars filly Breeze could make her experience tell in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden after finishing second in her last two appearances. Flaming Sea kept on nicely for third in Gowran Park last week and is certainly of interest when lining up for the Lilac Rooms Maiden.
