Ex-Irish trained duo make successful UK debuts

The former Charlie Swan trained Meister Eckhart and the former Eoin Doyle trained Tornado In Milan both made successful debuts in the UK yesterday for their new connections.

Having finished a good second to Yes Way Hosay on his debut at Wexford in October, Tornado In Milan got to £70,000 at the Brightwells Sales at Cheltenham on November 11th but went unsold.

On the same day Meister Eckhart, who easily won two bumpers here at Sligo and Naas, was sold for £130,000.

Having his first start over hurdles at Ffos Las yesterday Meister Eckhart who is now trained by Rebecca Curtis just did enough to win by half a length at the odds of 4/7 under Paul Moloney, extending his unbeaten sequence to three.

Tornado In Milan was sent off at the very short odds of 1/5 for a four runner bumper also at Ffos Las and although he only won by a neck it was a smooth victory again under Paul Moloney for his now trainer Evan Williams.
