The ‘Autumn Racing Season’ brings with it a renewed sense of excitement as the next generation of Classic contenders and future champions emerge on the Flat racing scene.

In Ireland at the Curragh on Saturday, both equine and human rising talents are on show. Listed winner Kitty Rose, trained by up and coming Italian trainer Natalia Lupini, bids to enhance her claims for next year's 1,000 Guineas. The smart two-year-old steps up into Group 3 company this afternoon and attempts to stun rivals from Irish racing's powerhouses once again.

Elsewhere, star fillies from Ireland, the UK and France head into battle in the Group 1 Sun Chariot at Newmarket’s historic Rowley Mile.

Emma Nagle casts her eye over Saturday’s feature races and takes on Sun Chariot hot-favourite Inspiral, who is bidding to give Frankie Dettori his 500th winner at Newmarket.

In a race that has proved difficult for punters in recent years, Inspiral vies to buck that trend.

The early favourite has disappointed punters on occasion in the past but seems at her best when fresh so should come here in top form. The John Gosden-trained filly is touching odds on at the time of writing, but faces considerable opposition here.

Historically, French trainers have targeted this race with great success and Mqse De Sevigne could ask real questions of the favourite coming here on the back of two impressive Group 1 wins at Deauville. While the drop back to a mile may present a slight worry, her form looks to be on an upward curve.

On official ratings, there is very little between the front two in the market so at a much more attractive price, Mqse De Sevigne is the selection.

Outside of the front two, Heredia is interesting after being supplemented by connections. A Royal Ascot winner in 2022, she has returned to form in her last two starts and could be a danger.

A race that has produced an array of Group One fillies, eight out of ten in the field hold 1,000 Guineas entries so it looks like another strong renewal.

Kitty Rose has caught the eye in her two starts so far, most impressively last time with a convincing win on Champions Weekend at Leopardstown, and is the selection here. Progressing all the time, the Natalia Lupini-trained filly looks like she could develop into a top three-year-old prospect and so is expected to thrive stepping up to Group company for the first time.

Brilliant looks to be the first string for Ballydoyle, who have won this race with some nice types in the past. The highest-rated filly in the field, she has put up some fair efforts in Group company in the past, but I fear she may find one too good again in this contest.

Of the rest, Unreasonable looked green first time out at Cork and will need to be sharper here. Snellen disappointed at the Curragh most recently, but cannot be totally dismissed if back to her Royal Ascot-winning form.

Bells On Her Toes put in a good effort before being collared on the line in the Concorde Stakes at Tipperary last time out. A strong travelling filly, she is the highest rated in the field and is well equipped to make her presence felt at this level, soft ground should help her claims dropping back to 6f however she is yet to win over this trip.

The UK raider Pinafore has to be respected on the back of her win at Nottingham last time out. The application of cheekpieces, which are again deployed here, seem to have brought her form to another level in recent runs. William Haggas has targeted the Curragh with good success in the past so she should not be too far away.

The selection is Aussie Girl for the Fozzy stack yard. Her form has been on an upward curve this year and a repeat of her best should have her right there. A tough front-runner, this track can play to her strengths. If getting into a nice rhythm in front she will be hard to peg back.
