Emily Gray bids to end on a high Kim Bailey saddles Emily Gray for the final time in the Grade Three John & Chich Fowler Memorial EBF Mares Chase at Fairyhouse today. The eight-year-old has won Listed prizes at Carlisle and Huntingdon this season and will be a warm order to end her racing career on a high. Bailey said: "She's in great form and this will be her last run. She stays in Ireland to go to stud and this race has been the plan for a while. She's been a complete star for us and it would be a great if she can finish up with a win." Emily Gray's five rivals include the Willie Mullins-trained grey Uranna, who chased home Irish Grand National contender Bonny Kate in a Grade Two at Limerick a fortnight ago. Steve Massey, racing manager for owners the Supreme Horse Racing Club, said: "She's in good form and has been running really well. "It looks a very hot race. We're getting 6lb from Emily Gray, but she is definitely the one to beat. "There are a few other good ones in there as well, so we're just hoping for a good run. "The distance will be fine. She jumps well and the drying ground might bring about a bit of improvement, but she does need to improve. "Hopefully she'll run well and get some more black type."
