Elliott doubles up as Coyote Spirit lands bumper for Swan Trainer Gordon Elliott completed a double on the afternoon as the well backed market leader Coyote Spirit landed the concluding Pat And Eddie Smith Memorial (Pro/Am) Flat Race at Bellewstown. Sent off a well backed 4/6f (from 7/4), the Bective Stud owned gelding made all the running under Harry Swan. Strongly pressed by Doctors Hill inside the final furlong, the seven-year-old son of Lucky Speed pulled out extra close home to rally for a two-and-three-quarter length success. It was a second winner in two days for Swan, who was also on the mark with Miss Corby at Ballinrobe on Friday evening. Gordon Elliott said: "He's a very honest horse and, to be fair, he had a good run in Navan. "He won probably despite the ground and the track, but it was nice. "He will go on his holidays now. The plan would be to go hurdling after his holidays and he will be alright." Additional reporting by Michael Graham.
