Gordon Elliott and Paul Carberry completed an opening race double when Bacher Boy came home in front of the Paulstown Maiden Hurdle.
Carberry came with a well timed run to lead at the last and kept on well under a strong drive to score by half a length.
Winning trainer Elliott said afterwards: “Happy days, that was great. I’m delighted for the owner Sean Gallagher.”
“Carberry gave him a great ride, sure he’s just a different class.”
Elliott and Carberry were on the mark in the previous race when Abbey Lane took the Goresbridge Maiden Hurdle.
