Elizabethofaragon powers clear under Wayne Lordan© Photo Healy Racing
Elizabethofaragon blitzed her rivals in the second divide of the Leopardstown Handicap.
Trained by Aidan O'Brien, the daughter of Galileo failed to make an impact on her first three starts, but was backed from 15/2 to 5s before her handicap debut this afternoon.
Settled behind the leaders by Wayne Lordan, the chestnut three-year-old was ridden to lead a furlong and a half from home, powering clear from there, going on to score easily by six lengths. Tirmizi (6/1) and Ronan Whelan finished second, while Final Endeavour who was sent off the 4/1 favourite, was a neck back in third.
Lordan said afterwards: "She was struggling in maidens. She got her mark and she was able to win a handicap.
"When I got stuck into her she kept going well. It's nice to get a win under her belt."
The winner who was given an initial mark of just 64 is a full-sister to 2012 Racing Post Trophy winner Kingsbarns.
