Darren Egan recorded his second career win after he landed the P.G Duffy & Sons Mazda Handicap aboard the Kevin Prendergast trained Musical Rain at odds of 25/1.
The promising ten pound claimer came with a challenge inside the final furlong.
The Val Royal filly responded well to pressure to get up in the closing stages and score by a short head.
A delighted Prendergast said afterwards: "Darren is a good kid and his ten pound claim is a big help."
"He wouldn't mind getting another furlong and hopefully he might win another one."
