Sligo's SF Engineering Handicap Hurdle, over just shy of 3m2f, went to Doitforjane Sid (17/2) in the hands of John Shinnick.

A comfortable winner at Killarney on his handicap debut earlier this month, the lightly-raced eight-year-old was waited with in mid-division before getting into contention two out. In front on the approach to the last, he was pushed out to beat Nevereverever by three-and-a-quarter lengths.

Owner/trainer Donnacha Duggan led up his winner and said:  "I thought 11lb was harsh for Killarney and was worried that the ground might have gone for him with the rain, but he did it well and seems to be able to handle good and easy ground.

"I was never worried about the longer distance, he wants this trip."

Shinnick added: "The ground is getting chopped up on the inner so I stayed wide and he had them covered all the way through, I never even had to draw my stick.

"He didn't start racing until fairly late but he's showing that he's a nice horse and Donnacha's doing a great job with him. Hopefully he'll keep progressing.
