The Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown Racecourse on February 1 and 2, 2025 will be a ticket only event and racegoers are encouraged to secure their tickets at their earliest opportunity.

Tickets for the Festival will not be available on the gate and the decision has been taken in order to allow Leopardstown Racecourse continue to deliver a top-class experience for all racegoers.

Announcing the new initiative, Tim Husbands, CEO of Leopardstown Racecourse, said, “We are extremely proud that Dublin Racing Festival has grown exponentially in recent years and reached a record attendance in 2024 with 20,000 racegoers attending on the opening day alone, a true measure of the importance of the fixture.

“The success of the Dublin Racing Festival is down to the high quality of the racing on offer. Across the two days, there are eight Grade 1 races with the Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup and the Irish Champion Hurdle among them. We are delighted that the Dublin Racing Festival attracts huge numbers of racegoers from Britain and this year alone, 38% of all attendees travelled from across the Irish Sea.”

“Today’s announcement comes as a direct result of feedback that we have received from racegoers, and those attending in February, and at our upcoming Christmas Festival, will enjoy a greater number of food offerings and a significant increase in the number of toilet facilities.

“Bar capacity in the festival marquee area has increased by 70%, and the marquee itself has increased by 50% in size. Our Skippio Fast Track bars will have an increased presence around the marquee to reduce waiting times.”

Entertainment throughout the weekend will showcase the best of Irish music and culture with Wolfhound playing after racing on Saturday, and U2 tribute act Rattle and Hum on Sunday. An Après Race DJ will play on both days in the Racing Hall.

Tickets for both the Leopardstown Christmas Festival and February’s Dublin Racing Festival are now on sale from €35 for general admission.

There are a wide variety of hospitality packages available including the limited Real Deal package. This offers great value from €50 for the Dublin Racing Festival and includes general admission, a racecard, access to entertainment after racing, a street food voucher, a pint of Bulmers (or Budweiser, or Five Lamps, or a soft drink) and a €5 Tote bet.
