Trainer Michael Browne will send Logo Hunter to Dubai in the coming weeks as his high class sprinter bids to get back to winning ways, having met with defeat at Newcastle recently.
Browne expressed delight at being a small participant in Davy Russell's retirement race, having sold his final winner Liberty Dance as a three year old, and reflected on Logo Hunter's recent Newcastle third-placing.
A dual Listed winner, Logo Hunter was beaten by lower rated rivals when venturing to Newcastle on December 2, with Browne reporting "initially I was disappointed as he didn't win having beaten the favourite (Art Power), but after the race we realised the first three horses home, including Logo Hunter, broke the track record.
"He will go to Dubai on Tuesday week and will run on January 6. All being well he will then run on February 13th and if he can win one of those races, we will wait for the final on March 23. He doesn't need to win to qualify but if he can't at least run well or win one, there is no point in going for the final.
"I have spoken to Seamie (Heffernan) about riding him and I'm hoping he can, but if not I'll try and get William Buick."
