Billie Frechette appreciated the step up to two miles when justifying good support, 7/2 in the morning and sent off the 7/4 favourite, in the William Hill Top Price Guarantee Handicap at Dundalk.

The dual-purpose filly made progress on the outer to lead over a furlong out and despite drifting left, kept on well for Colin Keane to repel the challenge of Slowdownbarney by a neck. Makaiah kept on two and a quarter lengths back in third.

Winning trainer Noel Meade said, “Colin is a big help!

"She's been unlucky, she has run well. She's just a bit one-paced.

"I'd say two miles is alright, but I'd say a mile and a-half is okay too. She stayed on well.

"Great to see her winning and I think she can hopefully do that again over hurdles, so we will see how we go."
