"I fancied him big time. He made a very bad mistake at Punchestown last time and he more or less eased him down. He was a great price," said Meade.
The Tu Va handler also explained his switch of bridles which has seen the disappearance of sheepskin nosebands.
"I think I've only had two horses run without sheepskin nosebands before the double at Downpatrick the other day.
"We tried a few different prototypes but this is the one we've decided to go with. We changed the browbands and have the green noseband now."
