Doyle glad she held on to Goodbye Last Goodbye got off to a winning start over timber when claiming the opening Peter Nolan Bloodstock Maiden Hurdle at a wet and windy Wexford this afternoon. Liz Doyle's charge was following up on a bumper success at Roscommon last month. Sean Flanagan tracked the leaders on the 5/2 shot and drove him into the lead turning for home in the two-miler. The Millenary gelding galloped on well in the closing stages to post a five-and-a-half length win over Crazyheart. "I like him. I took a punt running him again and not sending him to the sales. Hopefully I'll be able to get somebody into him now, someone might buy him," said Doyle. "He is close to my heart (last horse Doyle bought for her late father Fred) so I don't want him to leave the yard. "He wants two and a half miles looking at that, he was just asleep and jumped very green. He gave a penalty away and he is going to be a nice horse. "All the pedigree handled that ground well, so he is not a summer horse now technically which is good." (Quotes by Donal Murphy)
