Down Memory Lane joined Harmony Maker (Gowran) and Wodhooh here as Saturday Gordon Elliott winners in the Tayto Group Maiden Hurdle at Down Royal.
Of course Elliott made the headlines with a 6-timer 'up north' yesterday, and 2/7 chance Down Memory Lane remains unbeaten after three outings in public, again impressive in the hands of Derk O'Connor.
Another victor on the afternoon for the sire Walk In The Park, after Silent Approach at Gowran and Giovinco at Aintree, Down Memory Lane stays a 25/1 chance for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle with Paddy Power after sauntering home on this occasion by three lengths from Fast Felix
Said Elliott afterwards: "We are very lucky to have a great bunch of horses and great owners and great staff.
"Derek was very happy but look it wasn't a wonderful race on paper, so you would be disappointed if he didn't do that. I liked what I saw there.
"We'll get him home and see how he is and make a plan, I think we'll stick to two miles at the moment.
"He showed a lot of boot there and a lot of class."
When asked about the Grade 1 Royal Bond entry, he replied: "He has loads of boot and Derek seemed to be fairly happy, and he doesn't say much, so he looks a good one."
K.M. Donoghue, rider of Whale Harbour trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second last hurdle.
