Giant's Quest recorded his fourth career success, as he took the Leopardstown Club Members Handicap, providing his jockey Pat Smullen with a double on the card (won the fifth on Convocate .

The Harry Rogers seven-year-old son of Giant’s Causeway had his last three runs over hurdles, winning his maiden at Gowran in June.

He since ran very well in a valuable handicap at Bellewstown, and back on the level this evening he was sent off at 7/2.

Prominent throughout, he hit the front entering the straight and he kept on well from there to hold off all challengers. Weather Watch was sent off the 9/4 joint-favourite, and he was doing his best work at the finish as he came through to take second under Shane Foley for Jessica Harrington, just a half a length behind the winner. Mourani was the other joint-favourite, and he travelled well entering the straight but he couldn’t peg back the winner.

He had to settle for third, a length and a half back under Declan McDonogh for John Oxx.
