The 5yo son of Zamindar was providing his rider with a double on the card having earlier scored aboard The Folkes Choice in the opener. Owned by Barry Connell he won on his first start over fences at Down Royal in May and finished a respectable seventh on his first start in handicap company in the Connacht National at Roscommon last month. Today the Paul Nolan trained Prince Ludovic (7/2) attempted to make all under Davy Russell but he couldn’t fend off the winner who jumped to the front at the last and went on to score by three and three parts of a length. The front duo went seventeen lengths clear of the third who was the 9/4 favourite Our Victoria for Colin Bowe and Barry O’Neill. Winning trainer Ted Walsh said afterwards: "He jumped well and travelled well.
