Denis Hogan completed a double at Bellewstown tonight when Macgiloney claimed the bumper giving another of the yard's jockeys Jack Hogan a first 'track' success.
The amateur had rode a point-to-point winner previously but was scoring for the first time under rules when the Milan gelding ran out a convincing winner.
The 13/8 favourite took up the running with half a mile to go and powered clear in the closing stages to record a 10-length success over Global Jackpot
“It's great for Jack and that's another first winner today. He had a point-to-point success but that's his first winner on the track,” said the winning trainer.
“Him and Shane are two hard workers and both got well deserved first winners today.
“It was great to get a double and everything ran well tonight, the horse was third in the maiden as well. We've a good team of horse for the summer.
“Shane and Jack are two good lads. The work hard, deserve the rewards and they both can ride. The should have good futures in the saddle.
“Jack is a first cousin. He's from Cavan and his sister and Dad are here tonight. Jack can ride, he's a big lad but he'll be a good amateur.”
