Donoghue has National ambitions for Dunboyne Trainer Ian Donoghue is hoping that stable star Dunboyne can continue a fairytale season in the Irish Grand National over the Easter Weekend. Having been pulled up on all four starts last year, the 10-year-old son of Yeats was switched to Donoghue earlier this season. Following a win at Navan on his stable debut at the beginning of March, the gelding landed the Ulster Grand National on his latest outing. Asked about future plans for Dunboyne, Donoghue said: "Not a bother on him, he is fresh and well. He is in good nick. "It is looking like he is going to get into the National. We will go there and, if not, we will go for the consolation race. "It has been great (reinvigorated) thank God, long may it last. "If we could get one more big day out of him, it would be great. If we don't, he owes us nothing now anyway." Additional reporting by Michael Graham.
