The Garvan Donnelly trained Home Secretary ran out an impressive seven length winner of the Christmas Party Nights at Dundalk Stadium Handicap Division Two.
Padraig Beggy produced the son of Machiavellian to lead over one furlong out and the pair were soon clear and kept on well for a cosy win over Strandfield Lady
A delighted Donnelly said afterwards: “He won very easily this evening and we’ll probably keep him to something similar.”
“We’ll give him a little break now and bring him back here in February. The long term plan would be to go hurdling with him and the key to him is good ground.”
“This should be a good tonic for his owner Jim Gleeson who is sick at the moment so I hope this makes him feel better.”
