Dolly Dancer wins in remarkable circumstances Dolly Dancer (5/2, from 11/2 in the morning) landed a highly dramatic Europcar Mares Beginners' Chase under Brian hayes for Emmet Mullins. The daughter of Yeats was nicely clear going to the second last, but appeared to try and duck out to her right. She was wrestled back in to jump the fence, but blundered badly and brought the pursuing Ayr Of Elegance (8/1) to a standstill. Darling Miss (7/2) avoided the trouble and was left in front going to the last, but Hayes gathered up his mount, had her back in front jumping that final fence and ran on to gain a remarkable victory by a length and three quarters from the latter. The luckless Ayr Of Elegance was another half a length back in third, while the 2/1 favourite Tell Me Annie was a distant fifth. The result remained unaltered after a Stewards' Enquiry. The winning jockey Brian Hayes commented: "She ducked right to run out at the second last and did fierce well to get back up and win. "Emmet is at the hurling match and has had a great Galway and has now had two wins here at Tramore. It's great to ride a winner for him." Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
