Tony Martin’s yard has struck some form in recent weeks after a quiet spell, and Dollar And A Dream kept up the good work for the Moynalvey trainer when taking the Gleesons Butchers Novice Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse.
Paul Townend ’s mount made progress on the inner to challenge in the straight, and led approaching the final flight in this two-mile event.
The 4/1 chance needed to be kept up to his work on the run-in to beat The Brock Inn by three quarters of a length. Pakman was a further two and three quarter lengths back in third, with Ardview Boy completing the placings in fourth.
Martin said, “All went to plan, and fortune was on our side today. Sometimes it goes the other way. He is what he is, a 109 handicapper. We’ll see how he comes out of this, and he could go to Punchestown.”
