Ronan Whelan and Do The Bosanova brought up a treble for trainer Jim Bolger at Leopardstown when pulverising their rivals by a winning margin of eleven lengths in the one mile two furlong apprentice handicap.
The three-year-old Galileo filly was dropping down in trip from one mile four furlongs but appeared to relish tonight's race conditions as she sprinted away from the field just before the furlong pole.
Commenting on the win Bolger said: “He [Rory Whelan] got a bit excited. She’s a well-bred filly.”
There were three co-favourites at 4/1 in the race. The winner was backed in from 9/2 to 4/1 with Via Del Corso (6/1 to 4/1) coming home second and the other co-favourite Mount Abora completing the placings. Appraise not seen in a flat race for 601 days, was backed in the morning from 25/1 to 11/1. He went off 16/1 but couldn't land a blow in the race finishing sixth.
