D'ete brings up McManus double She may have had to miss an intended engagement at Naas last Sunday but Florishwells D'ete bounced out fresh and well to take the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Beginners Chase in style under Tony McCoy at Fairyhouse. Bringing up a double for owner J P McManus, after Rathpatrick's earlier success, in this two mile one furlong event Florishwells D'ete duelled up front with the well-backed pace-setter Kick On Boss. However, the Willie Mullins-trained daughter of Irish Wells left that rival, and the rest, behind in the straight, to come home an easy six and a half lengths in front of Art Of Payroll. Mullins said: "She's getting her act together but needs to improve her jumping. If she can do that she should improve away. "I'll probably find a mares' novice chase but I have no big plans for her at the moment. "They went a hell of a gallop and she handled the ground well." (AM & EM)
