Philip Dempsey is looking forward to seeing how Caravation fares on her first outing in handicap company over fences at Naas this afternoon.
The Presenting mare opened her account over fences at the venue three weeks ago when running out a facile winner of a mares beginners chase following the fall of Good Thyne Tara.
She has top-weight in this afternoon's novice handicap chase and Dempsey feels she will have a stiff task on her hands.
“She's in good form and we're looking forward to it,” said the Carbury handler.
“Like all those handicaps they are competitive. Obviously there are a few there you could pick out but we're happy with her.
“It was probably a non event the last day after Willie's mare fell, when she appeared to be going the better, but we're happy with her.”
Dempsey will have one representative at the Dublin Racing festival next weekend with Mr Diablo an intended runner in the €150,000 Gaelic Plant Hire Handicap Chase.
“Mr Diablo will run in the two-mile-five handicap chase next weekend.
“He hasn't run since the Troytown, he missed Christmas, and we're looking forward to getting him back out.”
