Paul Deegan recorded his first double this evening when Curling Bird won The Ace Taxi's & Minibuses Handicap under Kieran O'Neill.
Winning trainer Deegan said afterwards, "He's a lovely horse, he was only a shell of a horse last year he wintered well and won well here the last day. He's a lovely smashing horse and he will improve from that, he'll get further and he's got a great cruising speed. He will run at The Curragh next weekend."
Deegan also added, "It's been a great night, the horses are running really well and this is my first double we've come close to it on a couple of occasions and I'm just delighted at the way things are going."
