Death of former trainer John Bowles There will be a Mass at St. Camillus' Nursing Centre and Chapel, Killucan, County Westmeath tomorrow to mark the passing of former trainer John Bowles who died after a short illness over the weekend. Trainer Gordon Elliott tweeted on Monday: “Very saddened to hear of the passing of former trainer and good friend, John Bowles this morning. Thoughts are with his family." It is understood the remains of Mr. Bowles, a native of Wales, will then be flown to his homeland for interment. Bowles had care of some decent types including 7-time winner Zamnah and 9-time scorer Back To Bavaria. Willyever and Willyelkra were other multiple victors that flew the flag for his yard.
