She Tops The Lot leads over the last from Trevena© Photo Healy Racing
Trainer Henry De Bromhead and jockey Rachael Blackmore have made an excellent start to the new jumps season and both combined to win the Hibernia Steel Products (Mares) Maiden Hurdle at Bellewstown today with She Tops The Lot (7/4 second-favourite).
The daughter of Yeats today made all for a three and a half lengths win over 11/8f Trevena to provide Dr Bromhead with a seventh jumps win since the resumption of national hunt racing on June 22.
Blackmore, riding her fifth jumps winner in that time, later reported “she had a good run the last day. She was disappointing in her point-to-points and her first run for Henry was on soft ground.
“Maybe just hitting the nicer ground this summer has helped her. She's progressed again from her first run and hopefully she'll stay going the right direction now.”
Both De Bromhead and Blackmore now lead their respective Championships.
