Thunderbear has been a regular visitor to the UK over the past 18 months and Jack Davison has another trip across the water in mind for the speedy son of Kodi Bear.
The four-year-old gelding was successful twice on his travels last season with victories at Nottingham and also the Group 3 Dubai International Airport World Trophy Stakes at Newbury.
Thunderbear has continued to pay his way this term recording a fourth career win at Navan and filled the runner-up spot on his latest two starts including the Listed RFL Steels Stakes at Naas a fortnight ago.
"It was a super run at Naas but unfortunately we came up against prolific winner My Mate Alfie,” said the Dunboyne trainer.
"We will go to Doncaster in two weeks for a Listed race and would love to round off the year with a win with him.”
The prospect of testing ground this time of year holds no fears as Davison added, "He likes cut in the ground and won a Group 3 on heavy ground. He doesn't need it, but any ease puts him at an advantage to the opposition I'd say."
