Danny Grant made a winning return to Ireland today, arriving in time to partner She's Our Mark in win the featured Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes at Gowran today.
The daughter of Ishiguru raced in mid-division before eventually moving through the field to lead inside the final furlong, staying on well for a half length win over Chinese White
Grant, who arrived back into Dublin at 10am from India, was rode a double yesterday in India and became the first foreign rider to be Champion Jockey in Mumbai, having partnered 36 winners in Mumbai and 47 winners in India.
Afterwards She's Our Mark's trainer Pat Flynn reported "it's great to have Danny back and he had a great season in India."
He added "She's Our Mark was unlucky to come up against some top class fillies last season but did well to win today. She may have one more run before running in the Windsor Forest Stakes at Royal Ascot in June."
