Dancila made all to gain his third win of the season in the 1m4f conditions race.
Jim Bolger 's five-year-old attracted late support from 15/2 into 7/2 in a market where two of his three rivals didn't budge in price and the other drifted only marginally.
Kevin Manning dictated the pace to suit himself and, although the other runners all came to have a go in the straight, the Teofilo gelding stayed on well to beat Magellan Strait by a length and three quarters.
The 5/4 favourite Tax For Max ridden cold by Colin Keane, had the door shut in his face a couple of times when trying to mount a challenge before flattening out in third inside the final furlong.
"He fought them off well there. Kevin said he settled in front and got a handy lead. He said he took the bull by the horns as nothing was going to make the running,” said travelling head lad Ger Flynn.
“He said they all came to beat him and he fought them off. He's improving all the time and we're very happy with him.
“He's a grand, big, genuine, honest horse.”
