Jasko Des Dames made it two from two over fences at Punchestown this afternoon.

The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding won on his chase debut at Wexford 19 days ago and went to post a 9/2 shot in the rated novice chase over two miles.

He was prominent throughout, under Darragh O'Keeffe, and got the better of front-runner Broomfield Bijou before the final fence to post a three-and-a-quarter length win.

There were worrying scenes after the race with winning owner Basil Holian tended to by the medical team, on the walkway into the parade ring.

He was then transferred to an ambulance but was thankfully reported to be fine later.

O'Keeffe's thoughts were obviously with Holian at the time but he gave a quick assessment post-race:- “He was good. He got under the second last but at the back of it he had plenty left.

“It was a good performance in a tidy enough novice chase and it was nice that he progressed from his win in Wexford.”
