Crossed My Mind was a decisive winner of the Grade B Foxrock Handicap Chase in Navan for Arthur Moore.
The 8/1 chance made stealthy headway on the inner after the third last and travelled strongly into contention at the next.
Upon landing, he soon assumed the lead under a motionless Niall Madden. The pair eased away from the opposition at the last where they were less than fluent but the race was over once they got to the other side.
One backhander saw Crossed My Mind scoot away to score by four and a half lengths. Fairly Legal came in second at 16/1 by three parts of a length from Articulum (16/1). Benefit Run (25/1) completed the placings in fourth a further six lengths adrift.
Moore said: “He had a lovely weight. He came on a bit from Thurles and I thought the extra couple of furlongs and a bigger track would suit.
“He’s always been a nice horse but had niggly problems all the way through his career. It’s the first time that I’ve had a good run with him, and it’s nice to get a good pot with him again.
“He’s still a novice for the season which could come in handy later on for something like a novice handicap. The Leopardstown Chase over 2m5f could also be a race for him.”
Crossed My Mind was following up on a victory in a two and a quarter mile handicap chase at Thurles last month.
