Cromwell spreading his team far and wide today There is Irish interest on various fronts today with the rescheduled jumps meeting at Cork, regular Friday evening action under the lights at Dundalk, plus the start of the Winter Millions Weekend at Windsor. Gavin Cromwell’s team is in top form at present and the Danestown trainer is represented at all three meetings, while Railway Hurricane travels to Market Rasen for the £45,000 Unibet Middle Distance Chase Series Handicap Chase. Cromwell also brings Law Ella and Tyre Kicker over to Windsor while his Cork runners include the fancied trio Global Export, Lau And Shaz and Crescent Moon. The going at Cork is now yielding to soft with a dry and breezy forecast today, and the first on a seven-race card gets underway at 12.30. Mint Man opened his account at the sixteenth attempt in Dundalk last month and the Pat Murphy-trained gelding returns to the Polytrack in the opening 6f handicap at 4.15. The son of Due Diligence has switched between maidens and handicaps before scoring in a 5f maiden last time and Murphy, who was on the mark with Fly To Glory and Signor Ferrari at Dundalk on Tuesday, explained: “He runs a better race in maidens than handicaps. He's kind of an immature horse even though he has run plenty, he's still kind of learning his way. “Hopefully, he will go well. It looks like a hot enough little race, but hopefully he goes well.” Mint Man faces six rivals including Mehman who was just denied over course and distance last month.
