Cromwell & Moore double up with Porter Flooring Porter rallied gamely to give Gavin Cromwell and Jonathan Moore a quick double at Gowran Park this afternoon. Half an hour after Luis Van Zandt's victory the pair struck again in the three-mile handicap hurdle on the card. Flooring Porter was sent to post a 15/2 shot and came to join front-runner Roi De Dubai turning for home. He gained a narrow lead going to the second last but was soon joined by Cusp Of Carabelli. That rival produced a better jump at the last to take the advantage but Flooring Porter found plenty on the run-in to get his head back in front and record a half length win. The winner was last seen finishing runner-up to Seskinane at Navan in February. Cromwell said:- “He runs well fresh and showed that there today although he ran with the choke out all the way. “It was a good performance with top-weight and he battled well after the last.    “He might go for the 2m6f handicap in Galway on the Friday. It’s worth a good few quid so he’ll probably go there.”  (Quotes by Alan Magee)
