Creek justifies confidence in finale to give Elliott four again The well touted Classical Creek ran out a cosy winner of the concluding bumper at Down Royal this afternoon to complete a four-timer on the card for trainer Gordon Elliott. Harry Swan was soon in front on the Walk In The Park gelding and asked the 2/9 favourite for an effort crossing the road at the two furlong marker. His mount galloped on strongly in the closing stages and was always holding Faithful Follower to record a length-and-three-quarter success. The winner was making his first start in the Gigginstown colours having won a point-to-point at Tattersalls back in April for Cormac Doyle. Assistant trainer Lisa O'Neill said: "He's a lovely horse and he has been doing everything nicely at home. "Harry did the right thing on him when they weren't going overly quick, he sent him on and you'd have to be pleased with what he did. "He's only going to improve from it as well. "I would imagine he will stay the bumper route, but that's all to be decided by the owners and Gordon. We'll see how he comes out of it tomorrow. "He's a lovely prospect. Gordon tends to send a nice one here and there was plenty of confidence behind him." On the eight winners at the festival, she added: "It is a good start to the season and hopefully it will continue." (Quotes by Michael Graham)
