Dundalk course specialist Hes Our Music was claimed following his eighth course win at the venue in the opening Irishinjuredjockeys.com Claiming Race today.
The Pat Flynn trained gelding was recording his ninth career win and his third Claimer win of the past six weeks, each gained under today’s rider Champion Jockey Pat Smullen.
The seven year old gelding was subsequently claimed for E14,000 by P.Sweeney, from Donegal, with his designated trained being Dick Donoghue.
Before he was claimed, his rider Smullen commented “he’s a grand old horse and when he gets to the front I think it makes a difference. He got challenged here the last day and headed and he didn’t enjoy it.
“He’s just a better horse doing that and at this level he’s just a bit better class. He’s ideal for those races and he loves the surface.”
