Cool collects again in nursery Coolcalmncollected defied top-weight to record back-to-back victories in the nursery at Dundalk this afternoon. The Ciaran Murphy-trained gelding had opened his account over six furlongs a fortnight ago and struck again over course and distance. Colin Keane got a nice lead on the son of Ardad as Fast Trek made the running. That rival veered left passing the two pole and 16/5 shot Coolcalmncollected hit the front inside the final furlong, going on to record a three-parts-of-a-length win over the fast finishing Lisieux. Murphy said: "I'm very happy with that. We felt he had improved and, speaking to Colin beforehand, we thought he needed to to win that. "He's a horse that has been progressing all year. He has taken time and is a very big horse, but a lovely horse for the future we think. "We've looked through the stats and not too many horses have tried to do that (juvenile carrying 10st 4lb). We know he is a big horse, he is well able to carry the weight so we said we'd have a go. Our horses are running well up here and now is the time to do it. "I think Colin was impressed with him today." (Quotes by Michael Graham)
