Group 1 glory for Ireland looks likely on Saturday at Newmarket with connections confident that Royal Ascot-winner River Tiber can gain revenge on hot-favourite Vandeek, in the Middle Park Stakes.

Meanwhile, Oisin Murphy is also brimming with confidence that Greek Order can defy a 10lb rise to win the historic Cambridgeshire handicap - the big betting race of the day at the Rowley Mile.

In Ireland, Envoi Allen is the star name at Gowran Park as he aims to maintain his flawless record when fresh.

2.25 Newmarket Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes (Fillies' Group 1)

Ireland is well represented with four flying over to Newmarket for this excellent renewal. Aidan O’Brien has won four of the last seven and today saddles Cherry Blossom and Pearls And Rubies. Although a beaten favourite last week in the Goffs Million, the aforementioned filly has been most consistent, recording a career record of 4122 and represents good value at a bigger price.

Jasna's Secret heads over from France and is unbeaten in two starts, she is current favourite and a fascinating contender - judging on market vibes she should be in the mix. Soprano for George Boughey and Danny Tudhope is another to consider having finished second to Fallen Angel in the past who went on to win the Group 1 Moyglare.

3.00 Newmarket Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes (Group 1)

River Tiber is fancied to reverse form with Vandeek here. The Coventry-stakes winner suffered a setback prior to the Group 1 Prix Morny which was run on soft ground and the Wootten Bassett colt should appreciate the better surface today. The Coventry Stakes was a strong race with Phoenix Stakes winner Bucanero Fuerte in behind and Ryan Moore is confident he can take this prize for Aidan O’Brien.

Task Force is unbeaten in two starts for Ralph Beckett who has enjoyed one of his best ever seasons and the trainer holds a good record at Newmarket. The Listed winner will need to step up here but it would be no surprise to see the son of Frankel go close.

Jasour struggled in the heavy ground in the Prix Morny and is another to consider for Clive Cox with both of his wins prior to that, having come on good to firm ground.

3.40 bet365 Cambridgeshire (Heritage Handicap)

Greek Order looks the standout contender here and is seeking his third win on the bounce for Harry and Roger Charlton. It is no surprise to see him leading the market for this competitive handicap. The son of Kingman raced keenly on his last start at Newbury but still won impressively by 4.5 lengths and that form has worked out well with the second having won since.

The handicapper raised him 10lb for that facile win but he is expected to defy that under a confident Oisin Murphy. His stablemate Merlin The Wizard is also interesting.

Zetland Gold Cup winner Oviedo is a dependable sort who enjoys these big handicaps and was last seen finishing second to Astro King in a handicap at York. For an each-way bet, Ed Bethell’s Listed winner is worth a second look.

Last year’s victor Majestic finished fourth last time out in August and comes here fairly fresh. At odds of around 20-1, Jack Channon’s useful handicapper could put up another game performance but no horse has won this contest twice on the bounce for the last fifty years.

4.35 PWC Champion Steeplechase (Grade 2)

Envoi Allen is bidding to maintain his exceptional record first time out and looked to bounce back to his very best when beating Shishkin in the Grade 1 Ryanair at the Cheltenham Festival. Last season, he beat Kemboy on his seasonal debut and should justify favouritism here for Henry de Bromhead.

Gentlemansgame is open to plenty of progression and looked smart last season for the Mouse Morris team. He hasn’t been seen since winning a Beginners’ Chase at Leopardstown at Christmas and may benefit from the outing.

Easy Game is attempting to win this contest for the third time and he could be the biggest danger to Envoi Allen. He finished down the field in the Galway Plate last time, but back in a more suitable contest, he is likely to go close for Willie Mullins.
