Division two of the Byrne Marquees Handicap went to Angel In the Sky (18/1) who was the second winner of the Bellewstown fixture for Luke Comer after Blyton yesterday.

The Sir Prancealot mare was always handy, led before halfway and stayed on well to score by two lengths from the running-on Clan Jock

The 6-year-old was making the breakthrough on her tenth start and had been placed in her first two outings this season at Fairyhouse and Tipperary.

Winning rider Joe Doyle, who was also amongst the winners on ‘The Hill’ yesterday aboard Stately Home, said of his tenth winner of the campaign: “Yes, she was (professional today). We fancied her a bit to be fair. Her last run wasn't her best but she's had a bit of a break.

"I went up and worked her last Saturday week and I thought she worked very well.

"I think she is a bit better than that, so I'm hoping she will improve. We are delighted as she has done it nicely today.

"She stays very well and likes a bit of juice in the ground. Hopefully we can find something else for her before the end of the year."
